For the past 5 years,
Savage Oilfield Rentals has been involved with the Grande Prairie Stompede and we were lucky enough to find a pony chuck driver named Lincoln Douglas and he decided 3 years ago to get into the thoroughbred racing. He enjoyed running the "big chucks" well enough, he decided to stick to running only the big chucks. After placing 4th in the run-off, Lincoln was included in the WPCA and had a good year. He did not qualify for the Calgary Stampede, but was able to qualify again in the run-off and will be racing in the WPCA again next year! With his rookie season out of the way we expect Lincoln to do better this year and make a run at the Calgary Stampede for 2010.
